PanaMast is developing a novel non-antibiotic treatment for bovine mastitis, a significant issue in dairy farming. This innovative approach aims to effectively combat bacterial infections without the drawbacks of traditional antibiotics, including resistance and withdrawal periods.
Bovine Mastitis is a bacterial infection of the cow udder.
It is the major problem in the dairy sector, causing losses of approximately €1.5Bn in Europe each year, with each case costing the farmer €285/case.
