MaX aims to enhance the capabilities of pre-exascale and exascale computers for materials discovery and design. It focuses on developing software that works efficiently on diverse hardware and creating a robust ecosystem for high-performance simulations in materials science.
The main goal of MaX is to allow the pre-exascale and exascale computers expected in Europe in the 2020’s to meet the demands from a large and growing base of researchers committed to materials discovery and design.
