This project conducts a comprehensive study of approximately 2,000 Iberian inscriptions from the 5th century BC to the 1st century AD, analyzing their cultural context and linguistic features. It aims to enhance understanding of Iberian language and its connections within the Mediterranean.
This project proposes a study of all known Iberian inscriptions (about 2.000 documents dating from the 5th century BC to the 1st century AD) in a comparative and interdisciplinary perspective.
The study of the Iberian corpus will be set in a broad cultural context, including the rise of the first Western written traditions and their linguistic and cultural contacts.
