ZeoMorph aims to innovate zeolite catalysis by focusing on particle morphology to enhance shape selectivity in chemical reactions. This project will educate researchers through collaboration between academic institutions and industry, improving industrial processes.
Zeolites are crystalline aluminosilicates and have been used as catalysts within refining and hydrocarbon conversion processes since the 1960s.
In addition to possessing strong Brønsted acidity, zeolites are microporous materials, having regular pores channels and cavities of molecular dimensions.
These materials therefore possess shape selectivity for chemical reactions.
