This project investigates nonlinear and quantum optical effects in the x-ray spectral range, aiming to explore novel phenomena enabled by advanced x-ray sources. The research focuses on second harmonic generation and parametric down-conversion, contributing to the understanding of quantum optics in the x-ray domain.
The objective of this work will be to explore, experimentally and theoretically, nonlinear and quantum optical effects in the x-ray spectral regime.
These are novel fields of research offering many exciting new opportunities, which now become possible due to the recent and expected improvements in the x-ray sources.
