This research aims to utilize collective quantum phenomena in semiconductors to engineer quantum states of matter. By adapting techniques from atomic physics, the project seeks to develop new devices for quantum information science using indirect excitons in bilayer semiconductor structures.
This research proposal aims at harnessing collective quantum phenomena in semiconductors in order to deterministically engineer quantum states of matter.
For this purpose, the techniques successfully pioneered in atomic physics will be transposed to the solid-state.
As envisioned by R.
Feynman, this approach offers the formidable opportunity to emulate emblematic collective quantum phenomena and to radically deepen our understanding of quantum physics.
At the same time, it opens a route to devel…
