This project focuses on developing low-cost materials for direct alcohol fuel cells, particularly by creating core-shell catalysts that reduce platinum usage. The goal is to enhance the efficiency of alcohol oxidation reactions, making these alternative energy systems more viable for transportation applications.
The development of low-cost materials is a determining step for the final introduction of low temperature fuel cells in the market.
These systems, especially direct alcohol fuel cells (DAFCs), are the most important and promising alternative energy systems.
