The WETDNA project aims to create surfaces that change their wetting properties based on DNA interactions. By linking molecular encoding with visible changes in wetting, it explores applications in sensing and anti-counterfeiting through innovative surface design.
Encoded surfaces have a rich set of applications that range from anti-counterfeiting to sensing. A desirable characteristic is the synergetic combination of molecular specificity with macroscopic changes that can be detected with simple infrastructure.
