WEDUSEA aims to demonstrate a floating wave energy converter capable of generating 1MW of renewable electricity from ocean waves. The project focuses on improving technology efficiency and reducing costs, with implications for policy and investor confidence in wave energy applications.
WEDUSEA led by Irish Wave Energy Developer, Ocean Energy, will demonstrate a grid connected floating wave energy converter (known as the OE Buoy) at the European Marine Energy Test Site (EMEC) in Orkney, Scotland capable of producing 1MW of renewable electricity from ocean waves.
