This project aims to improve crop resilience against environmental stress by investigating the relationship between plant cell wall properties and the hormone abscisic acid. The goal is to develop strategies for enhancing crop performance in the face of climate challenges.
Recent severe heatwaves and prolonged drought negatively affect agricultural crop fitness and biomass, threatening global food security.
Therefore, there is an urgent need to enhance crop resilience against environmental stress to reduce crop loss.
