VOICES aims to enhance mobile information and communication technology services in Africa by addressing local content relevance and access barriers. The project focuses on developing voice-based access tools and integrating local community radios to support under-resourced languages and ensure long-term sustainability.
There is widespread agreement that ICT services have the potential to play a major role in furthering social development in developing economies such as those in Africa.
