VITRO aims to bridge the gap between diverse wireless sensor and actuator technologies to enable cooperative smart objects. The project focuses on creating adaptable and energy-efficient platforms that facilitate seamless communication and collaboration among heterogeneous devices.
The quick growth of the Virtual Sensor Networking (VSN) domain has led to a highly dispersed gamut oftechnologies and approaches, which seriously jeopardize the long-term vision of an Internet of Thingssince very few of these solutions are able to mutually communicate.
