VISI-ON-BRAIN focuses on training doctoral candidates to research brain disorders through innovative modeling techniques. It combines in vitro and in silico approaches, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and skill development to address the challenges posed by brain disorders.
Brain disorders (BD)s have become one of the leading causes of disability in the world with about a third and a half of all Europeans suffering from BD in their lifetime.
Patients falling under BDs do not have cure or disease-modifying options and as a result, BDs are one of the major societal challenges with a high economic burden impact for Europe and the rest of the world.
