VIROPLANT aims to develop environmentally friendly virus-based strategies to control plant diseases and pests using next generation sequencing technology. The project seeks to expand the use of viruses in agriculture for sustainable crop protection.
Next generation sequencing (NGS) technology has proved to be pivotal for elucidating the complexity and the role of the microbiome associated with plant and animals.
