The ViroiDoc project addresses viroid infections that threaten global food security. It trains 10 doctoral candidates to develop innovative diagnostics and interventions, focusing on molecular biology and biotechnology to enhance agricultural sustainability.
Viroids, the smallest infectious pathogens, cause crop losses in the millions of euros every year and affect crop yields and quality worldwide.
