The VERSATILE project enhances robotic systems for manufacturing by enabling dual-arm robots to perform complex tasks traditionally done by humans. It focuses on improving programming flexibility and adaptability in production environments, particularly in automotive, aerospace, and consumer goods sectors.
The recent trends of mass customization of products and lean approaches impacts production by a drastic reduction ofproduction lot sizes.
