This project investigates the role of VEGF-C in the metastasis of renal cell carcinoma following anti-angiogenesis therapy. It aims to uncover the molecular mechanisms behind VEGF-C expression and its potential as a therapeutic target to combat cancer recurrence.
Abnormal vascular network formation is a prerequisite for tumor growth.
This phenomenon has prompted the development of therapeutic approaches targeting molecules involved in the formation of pathological blood vessels such as VEGF and its receptors VEGFR1, VEGFR2 and VEGFR3.
