URANUS focuses on improving urban mobility management through real-time data collection using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The project aims to enhance traffic monitoring and control for both vehicles and pedestrians by developing a framework that integrates UAV technology with urban mobility strategies.
Inefficient management of urban mobility leads to congestion with several socioeconomic and environmental adverse effects.
Despite numerous research efforts and deployed technological solutions to address congestion, the problem still persists.
