The project aims to bridge the gap between information theory and communications networks by developing a network information theory. It focuses on understanding the dynamics of data traffic and its impact on communication efficiency, enabling better analysis and optimization of network performance.
Dating back sixty years to the seminal works by Shannon, information theory is a cornerstone of communications.
