The TYPHON project focuses on developing methodologies and tools for managing large volumes of diverse data, integrating both traditional relational databases and modern NoSQL systems. It aims to enhance data persistence, analytics, and monitoring capabilities across various sectors.
The need for levels of availability and scalability beyond those supported by relational databases has led to the emergence of a new generation of purpose-specific databases grouped under the term NoSQL.
