This project seeks to create a machining tool equipped with a ceramic thin film temperature sensor for continuous, wireless temperature monitoring during machining operations. The goal is to optimize the machining process and extend tool life by detecting when tools need replacement.
We are seeking FP7 funding for the design and development of a machining tool with a wear-resistant ceramic thin film temperature sensor, for in-situ, continuous wireless monitoring of the temperature during a machining operation.
