This project aims to advance personalized medicine by creating in vitro models that mimic the three-dimensional environment of human tissues. It focuses on developing a microfluidic platform that automates the mixing of cells with biological gels, facilitating more accurate cell culture and experimentation.
A paradigm shift in health-care towards personalized medicine is slowly under way to tailor treatments to each unique individual’s needs. A key avenue for developing this field consists in recreating in vitro models of specific body parts with cells.
