This project investigates a newly identified stem cell population in the stomach, focusing on their behavior during homeostasis and injury repair. It aims to understand the dynamics of these cells and their potential roles in gastrointestinal health and disease.
The adult mammalian stomach can be divided into three distinct parts:
From the proximal fore-stomach over the corpus to the distal pylorus.
