This project aims to develop artificial supernumerary limbs that can be intuitively controlled alongside natural limbs. By integrating advanced sensory feedback and control systems, it seeks to enhance the functionality of these limbs, particularly for individuals recovering from strokes.
Artificial supernumerary limbs (SL) that assist their user with minimal cognitive effort and can be seamlessly controlled both independently and also in combination with their natural limbs, are a popular vision of science fiction.
