This project aims to advance time-resolved cryogenic electron microscopy (trEM) for studying protein structures. By improving sample preparation techniques, the project seeks to make trEM accessible for a wider range of protein samples, facilitating better understanding of biological processes and drug development.
Knowledge of protein structure is fundamental for the understanding of biology, disease mechanisms, drug development, and biotechnology.
Recent progress with electron cryogenic microscopy (cryo-EM) simplified and tremendously accelerated the determination of protein structures including multiple protein conformations.
