This project investigates how tree populations can evolve in response to climate change, focusing on temperate oaks. It aims to reconstruct evolutionary trajectories to understand the rates of evolutionary change during past and current environmental shifts.
There are widespread concerns that trees, due to their long life-span, are not able to cope with the rapid ongoing climate change.
