TreatRec focuses on training a new generation of wastewater professionals to address technological gaps in wastewater treatment. The project combines academic research with industrial practices to develop decision support systems and improve the management of contaminants in wastewater.
Wastewater treatment and management in Europe has a large potential for growth; however needs to be supported by education of a new generation of interdisciplinarily trained wastewater professionals able to face future challenges and implement wastewater-related directives in practice.
