This research addresses the limitations of Computational Fluid Dynamics in predicting laminar-turbulent transitions and flow separation. By developing advanced computational methods, the project aims to enhance understanding and control of these complex fluid dynamics phenomena in aerodynamics.
The vision spelled out in this proposal is to overcome the failure of Computational Fluid Dynamics to tackle one of the central unsolved fluid physics problems, namely predicting the sensitive flow physics associated with laminar-turbulent transition and flow separation.
