The TOPBALAT project aims to enhance the fishing and processing of sea cucumbers in Europe by developing an efficient trawl and automated processing machinery. This technology will improve the sustainability and profitability of the sea cucumber industry, catering to the high demand in Asian markets.
sea cucumbers are considered a delicacy in Asian cuisine, and of cultural and medical importance.
