The ThinSi project aims to create a cost-effective manufacturing process for thin film silicon solar cells using low-cost substrates. By employing innovative techniques and materials, it seeks to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs compared to traditional solar cell methods.
The ThinSi project will develop a solar cell processing chain for high throughput, cost-effective manufacturing of thin film silicon based solar cells on low-cost silicon substrates.
The substrates will be made on the basis of an innovative powder-to-substrate concept.
