The project aims to improve organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) by developing a new approach called thermally activated delayed fluorescence hosted fluorescence. This method seeks to enhance efficiency and stability in OLEDs while addressing challenges in device fabrication.
At present, OLED technology is expected to be practically applied to flat panel displays and solid state lighting sources because of its unique characteristics of low-cost processing, flexibility, and low power consumption.
Till date, a large number of fluorescent and phosphorescent materials have been developed to improve the electroluminescence (EL) efficiency of OLEDs.
As a result, highly durable and practically applicable OLEDs using these materials have been realized.
