The project focuses on improving the energy efficiency of heating and cooling systems in buildings. By developing the Venticer HVAC system, it aims to reduce energy consumption significantly, addressing both greenhouse gas emissions and urban overheating issues.
The heating and cooling of buildings is one main energy consumer in Europe.
Especially residential heating is the main emitter of greenhouse gases and other air pollutants and air conditioning systems heavily contribute to urban overheating.
Overall, currently the heating and cooling of buildings fosters climate change and causes negative effects on public health.
