This project focuses on developing automated tools for analyzing the thalamic nuclei in MRI data, enhancing the study of brain structures related to conditions like dyslexia. The tools will be integrated into existing software to aid cognitive neuroscience research.
The thalamus is a brain structure that is responsible for important functions (e.g., sensory systems, sleep, the motor system, spoken language) which are distributed over its 12 nuclei .
