This research program focuses on developing an automated flight test system using IoT technologies for sensor control and data management. It aims to enhance flexibility and efficiency in testing and certification processes for aviation systems.

As stipulated in the Clean Sky 2 Workplan the automation area must be TwinCat and Ethercat from Beckhoff for sensor and control of the cooling system.
As Beckhoff releases TwinCat 3 with IoT Interfaces at the end of this year, the adaption of configuration data, sensors and additional services to the test environment will be done bei IoT (MQTT) communication.
