This project explores the development of time-varying materials for nanophotonic applications. By creating systems that can dynamically modulate their optical properties, it aims to enhance the functionality of photonic devices for both classical and quantum technologies.
Among the most transformative frontiers in nanophotonics are time-varying materials, whose optical properties can be dynamically modulated on femtosecond to picosecond timescales in response to external stimuli, such as light pulses, enabling ultrafast control over light-matter interactions.
These materials hold the promise to enable the next generation of dynamic and tunable metaphotonic devices with reprogrammable functionalities.
