This project develops a mathematical framework to analyze higher-order interactions in neuronal activity, aiming to enhance understanding of brain dynamics. It reconstructs complex networks from neuronal data to explore how groups of neurons work together over time.
Networks and graphs have been fundamental in modelling complex systems, yet their focus on pairwise interactions limits their ability to fully capture the dynamics of systems like the brain, where coordinated activity among multiple neurons is essential for functioning.
