This project investigates the dynamics of gene regulation during embryonic development, focusing on the interaction between enhancers and promoters. It aims to understand how these interactions evolve over time and their impact on gene expression using advanced genomic and imaging techniques.
Embryonic development requires the coordinated execution of sequential gene expression programmes in space and time.
This complex regulation is achieved by enhancers, cis-regulatory elements that relay spatiotemporal regulatory information to target promoter(s) in response to transcription factor (TF) binding.
