The TEMPLATES project aims at constructing highly organised lattices consisting of a nanoporous structural host template in which functional guest moieties can be accommodated, and to address these with electrochemical scanning probe techniques.
The guest species are metal nanocrystals in the quantum confinement size range and redox molecules, both capable of active electronic function (switching, amplification, rectification) in an electrochemical environment.
