TAXINOMISIS aims to enhance the treatment of carotid artery disease by developing a personalized risk prediction model based on molecular mechanisms. The project focuses on identifying high-risk patients and optimizing therapeutic interventions through advanced imaging and pharmacogenomics.
Carotid artery disease, the primary trigger of ischaemic cerebrovascular events including stroke, causes major morbidity, mortality and healthcare costs worldwide.
