This project explores a new cognitive theory of reading, focusing on how visual attention affects reading behavior. It utilizes eye-tracking technology to investigate word recognition and dyslexia, aiming to develop a reading interface that improves reading speed and comprehension.
Reading ability is essential in modern society.
Yet, for many people it comes with considerable difficulty; and to cognition scientists it remains rather mysterious.Here I outline a plan for testing and applying a novel cognitive theory of reading.
