This project aims to assess the role of tropical forests in the global carbon cycle by studying their changes, drivers, and responses to climate threats. It will establish a Pan-Tropical Observatory to monitor forest dynamics across multiple continents.
The ambition of this proposal is to determine, from the ground up, the changing role of tropical forests in the global carbon cycle.
