This research investigates the unique characteristics of human synapses and their role in cognitive development and disorders. By examining genetic innovations, the project aims to uncover how these factors influence synaptic function and contribute to neurodevelopmental issues.
The function of the brain relies on an intricate network of neurons connected by synapses that enable us to feel, think, learn, act, communicate and adapt our behavior to the ever-changing world.
