The SYNERGIES project aims to develop an innovative bioreactor platform for culturing osteochondral tissue constructs. By simulating the natural environment of joint tissues, it seeks to enhance the production of functional tissue substitutes for osteochondral diseases, addressing a significant medical need.
The incidence and socioeconomic burden of osteochondral (OC) diseases are growing worldwide, representing a major challenge for the healthcare systems.
