SynCell focuses on creating a one-pot method to synthesize 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA) from sugars and polysaccharides using multicatalytic systems. By integrating Metal-Organic Frameworks and alternative solvents, the project aims to enhance efficiency and reduce environmental impact in chemical processes.
SynCell aims to develop multicatalytic systems capable of performing multiple synthetic steps in sequence and under controlled conditions within a single process, reducing the need for external intervention and lowering environmental impact.
