The SynaptoMitophagy project investigates how age-related mitochondrial damage affects synaptic function in neurons. By using advanced techniques on the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans and mammalian neurons, the project aims to understand the role of mitochondrial maintenance in brain health and aging.
