This research empirically tests the theory of recognition, focusing on how individuals with intellectual disabilities are recognized in society. It examines the factors contributing to recognition and its implications through qualitative interviews across three countries.
The research consists in an empirical test of key statements related to the theory of recognition (Anerkennung) of Axel Honneth.
