This project explores a novel electronic device, a redox superconducting memristor, which offers a continuum of states and can be controlled by voltage pulses or light. Its unique properties aim to advance neuromorphic computing and superconducting electronics.
The concept we aim a proving is a novel type of electronic device, a redox superconducting memristor, whose functionality is beyond that of binary memories: it shows a continuum of states (instead of just two), and the switching between them can be driven by a sequence of voltage pulses or by visible light illumination.
Furthermore, it is based on high-temperature superconductors, allowing for low-dissipation devices.
