The SUPERB project trains a researcher in creating protein-based polymers for healthcare applications. It combines structural proteins to develop materials with controllable properties, aiming to streamline the process of creating advanced healthcare materials while reducing reliance on animal testing.
The SUPERB project will train an experienced researcher (ER), Dr.
Diego López Barreiro, in the modelling and manufacture of protein-based polymers for healthcare materials.
The ER will combine building blocks of structural proteins like elastin or collagen into de novo fusion protein polymers.
