This research investigates the chemistry and structure of evolved stars and their surrounding envelopes. It aims to understand the processes that lead to the formation of heavy elements and their impact on star and planet formation.
The proposed research will form a comprehensive study of the chemistry and structure of evolved stars on the Asymptotic Giant Branch (AGB) and their circumstellar envelopes (CSEs), and form a powerful basis also to study the origin and evolution of heavy elements in galaxies, and the effect of AGB evolution on the formation of stars and planets.
