This research explores the use of struvite precipitation to recover nutrients from anaerobic digestion residues. The goal is to optimize this technique to reduce nutrient discharge into water bodies and produce struvite fertilizer from organic waste.
The major goal of the proposed research is the investigation of the applicability of struvite precipitation technique (SPT) separately or coupled with in an anaerobic digester for recovering nutrients from the anaerobic digestion process (ADP) residues.
